al-hindiyya. Now here’s something funny: can you imagine a Swedish-Bosnian guy from Borås, a Spanish lad from Murcia and a Flemish girl from Antwerpen showing up with their backpacks one afternoon in Marrakech? Stepping out of the train and saying no (la, shukran!) to a throng of malicious, greedy taxi drivers? Marching bravely through its filthiest streets in the depths of the old city, unmoved by the burning wind, the scorching sun and gracefully unafraid of the armies of children and beggars? Can you imagine them eagerly eating prickly pears and drinking glass after glass of orange juice to their soul’s delight? Because I’ll tell you one thing: this post could have also been properly titled The juice - العصير. Can you imagine? Well, quoting Rilke, “Was it not miracle? O, be astonished, Angel, o tell them, o great one, that we could achieve this: my breath is too slight for this praising.” | al-hindiyya. |

UPDATED: El de Pol needed Interpol so badly! Did you notice their song in the sidebar? Epic, poignant melodies and supreme, haunting lyrics. One gets into them with unease, not from the very first listening. The singer looks like Guti (Real Madrid’s player), I know, but they ooze class anyway. |
Merci beaucoup, Auré!
Interpol - Not even jail
